HARVESTING the old fashioned way has helped to raise £1,500 at Walcott Vintage Working Day.

Hundreds of people made their way to Crown Farm, Walcott to witness ploughing displays, cultivators in action and lots of traditional stalls and fair grounds rides.

Organiser Dennis Sleaford said: "The day was a big success in the end and everyone who came enjoyed it.

"A big thanks to all the money raised as it will be a big help to air ambulance and the church."

The annual event has been held at the farm for the last 17 years.

Dennis added: "We look forward to donating £750 each to the air ambulance and Walcott church."
