JOIN CountrysideNK and Cogglesford Watermill as they team up to offer an event that'll occupy the whole family on a winter's weekend.
An event celebrating the bicentennial anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens will take place at Cogglesford Watermill on Sunday, December 9.
Children can follow a special trail, identifying characters from Dickens' novels as they head down to Lollycocks Field where they can join in a tree dressing workshop hosted by CountrysideNK.
Visitors will also be able to use natural resources to make Christmas tree decorations to add a unique touch to their festivities.
In a picturesque setting along the River Slea, visitors can watch milling demonstrations throughout the day at Cogglesford Watermill, listen to seasonal songs of the times with Clarty Sough, readings from the novels of Dickens by members of Grantham Dramatic Society and see the mill decorated for Christmas.
The National Centre for Craft & Design and Navigation House will also be open.
The Christmas event at Cogglesford Watermill will run from 11am to 4pm.
Both events are free of charge. To find out more, call NKDC's Tourism Unit on 01529 308102.
